Job Title: Middleware Engineer - OKTA Solution Engineer (OKTA / IDAM Developer)

Role Type: Open to both Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Salary: Open upto £90,000 Per annum

Location: London or Edinburgh

Work Model: Hybrid – 2 to 3 days per week onsite in either London or Edinburgh Office

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled OKTA Solutions Engineer/ IDAM Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing identity and access management (IDAM) solutions, with a focus on OKTA implementations. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in identity platforms, particularly OKTA, and a proactive approach to support and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and support OKTA solutions, focusing on both Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds.
• Design and implement secure and scalable identity solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations, using OIDC.
• Manage OKTA Lifecycle Management processes and utilize administrative APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop web applications utilizing RESTful APIs.
• Support the development of web applications using Java and OKTA SDKs.
• Conduct regular system monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting for optimal performance.

Key Skills and Experience:

Core Skills:

• Experience with OKTA Identity Cloud, including Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) and Customer Identity Cloud (CIC).
• Proficient in OKTA APIs and SDKs.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs and web application development.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth, OIDC, and SAML protocols.
• Proven experience implementing SSO with OIDC.
• Hands-on experience with OKTA Lifecycle Management and administrative APIs.
• Proficiency in Java.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra.
• Knowledge of API management with APIGEE.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Exposure to Istio service mesh.
