Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Group Accountant to join our finance team within a listed business. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this key role will be responsible for leading complex consolidations, supporting internal technical policy development, and driving process improvements across the Group.


The Senior Group Accountant will be pivotal in maintaining accurate financial reporting, enhancing existing controls, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and reporting standards. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Group Financial Consolidations: Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and group policies.
  • Financial Reporting: Manage the delivery of consolidated financial reports and analysis to senior management, including variance analysis and provision of key insights.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Assist the Group FC in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and processes in line with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance and Audit Support: Work closely with external auditors to ensure the smooth execution of audits and timely resolution of issues, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Oversee the reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with regional finance teams and other key stakeholders to support financial n activities, data quality, and group-wide projects.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to existing financial reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.


Key Requirements:

  • Education: Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), with 2 - 4 years post qualification experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in IFRS, consolidations and financial reporting standards;
  • Advanced Systems Skills: Strong proficiency in excel.
