A leading not for profit focused on delivering a sustainable future through conscious processes within commercial organisations. Due to the development of the Financial Initiative, a Programme Manager is required on a permanent basis.
Your new role
The Finance Initiative aims to scale finance by developing thought leadership that strengthens the economic and environmental case for a circular economy, convening private and public sector finance people to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration, support uptake and implementation and catalyse the mobilisation of capital towards high ambition solutions across sectors. The Finance Initiative brings a financial lens to active projects, helping organisations to make a more compelling business case for relevant business models and solutions. You will directly support the Lead to shape and deliver the strategy; manage key strategic programmes; and support the team to deliver against programme objectives.
You will work to evolve the Finance Initiative strategy and be responsible for supporting the delivery, with oversight of programme activities including: the development of thought leadership; relationship building with existing and prospective partners; design and implementation of in-person and virtual meetings that facilitate knowledge exchange and enable external stakeholders to take action, with the support of other teams within the organisation.
Your main duties include; Overseeing the delivery of multiple workstreams, including supporting the team to deliver against programme objectives, developing the strategy for the work streams under your responsibility, contributing to the development of the broader Finance Initiative strategy and understanding the landscape and pressure points across the finance industry to make informed decisions.
You will lead the development of industry-leading perspectives and research for the initiative that enables financial stakeholders to operationalise a circular economy, or content that disseminates key insights from across the Foundation to a broader financial audience.
Alongside your internal responsibilities, you will also coordinate international outreach, relationship building, and stakeholder management, including engagement with financial institutions, corporates, international institutions, policymakers, and NGOs.
What you'll need to succeed
This is an opportunity for someone with proven experience of leading successful multi-stakeholder initiatives, demonstrated understanding of how to design innovative financing mechanisms and structure complex multi-party transactions, and expertise in the financial services sector (e.g. banking, insurance, investment, corporate finance) to join our Finance Initiative team.
