Roles & Responsibilities:


Overall responsibility for organizing and leading the marketing function for TOEFL globally.


  • Serve as the expert marketer for TOEFL, crafting and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy across digital, MarTech, traditional advertising, PR, & brand dev.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product development, and finance to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Lead digital marketing efforts and marketing automation to enhance online presence and lead generation for both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Strategically plan and manage marketing budgets to align with organizational goals.
  • Spearhead customer acquisition initiatives and devise retention strategies to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Supervise pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising, and public relations activities


Leading and building high-performing teams:

  • Oversee performance marketing, content creation, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams
  • Serve as a global marketing thought leader, supporting both global agendas and local business units (Bus)
  • Build, mentor, and lead a results-driven marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.
  • Ensure the marketing department is equipped with the necessary resources and focused on achieving the right goals and objectives for success


Driving strategy and optimizing data:

  • Drive growth by continuously evolving TOEFL's communication strategy to adapt to changes in the media landscape and consumer behavior, utilizing data-based insights
  • Lead competitor research efforts and stay informed about macro trends relevant to all business teams.


Education & Experience:


  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience of at least 3 years and a minimum of 12 years in digital marketing, including extensive expertise in social media marketing and branding. Ideally in a global role
  • Accountable for managing a substantial marketing budget, ensuring allocation to strategic initiatives supporting TOEFL's commercial growth.
  • Proficiency in upgrading MarTech stack and tools, showcasing adeptness with modern technologies.
  • Background in fast-growth, high-volume digital-first businesses or online marketplaces encompassing both B2B and B2C environments.
  • Track record of leading global marketing strategies.
  • Strong data proficiency and exceptional analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in performance marketing disciplines such as PPC, SEO, paid search, social marketing, and digital marketing
  • Familiarity with lead generation tools including Hubspot, Apollo, Marketo, and Outreach.io.
  • Outstanding presentation abilities with confidence in addressing senior executives.
  • Implemented successful programs for ongoing testing and measurement across the department.
  • Possesses an innovative mindset with an entrepreneurial inclination.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or associated concentrations, MBA strongly preferred.
  • 13+ years of demonstrated success leading teams (on-site and remote) both directly and in a matrix-based environment.
