Job Description
Job Purpose
As a Water Hygiene Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of water hygiene services, including monitoring, cleaning, and maintenance of water systems. Your role is crucial in preventing waterborne diseases and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Testing: Conduct routine monitoring and testing of water systems for temperature and microbial content.
Cleaning and Disinfection: Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems, including tanks, hot and cold water systems.
TMV servicing.
Remedial Works: Carry out remedial works as required to ensure water systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports on all work carried out.
Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with current health and safety regulations and company standards.
Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, providing advice and recommendations on maintaining water hygiene.
Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry best practices and regulations.Person Profile:
Experience: At least 2 years previous experience in water hygiene or a related field (5 years preferably).
Skills: Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and implement water hygiene protocols.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
Driving Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required.
