Position specific questions
· Reason for the need? New site need support while recruiting permanent team
· Is there a specific start date needed? December 3 2024
· Duration of need? 6-12 months
· What’s the schedule? On-site
o Are there specific dates needed? Not specific
o If call is involved what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? No call
o Call/Rotation schedule?
· Will they take an APP or SFA when applicable? No
· What are expectations for orientation? ie shadow day? EMR training? Should be able to function in a HCA FSED with limited 2-4 hours orientation
Candidate Parameters
· Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? Must be ABEM certified/eligible
· Experience level? Must be graduated from EM residency and ABEM certified or eligible
Credentialing questions:
· Will emergency privileges be an option? Likely not
· Are case logs needed? If so what are the requirements? Yes- would need to ask the Centennial MSO
Hospital/unit questions
· Number of beds? 12
· Census? Less than 30/day
· How many daily admissions? Fewer than 10 per day
· Are there any consults and if so how many per day? no
· What’s the patient population? Suburban FSED
· Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? Not a trauma center
· What does the support staff look like? 2-3 RN radiology tech
· How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient ED patients limited scheduled return followup

· Is call involved? no
· What procedures are required? All ED procedures including sedation intubation central lines etc.
· What does the support staff include? 2-3 RN radiology tech

· What are the most common cases the locum will see? Typical suburban FSED volume/patient mix
· Annual ER admissions? New site unknown
· Does the unit use robots? If so what kind? No robots
· How often are the locums called back on site if on call? unlikely
