Plumber

Bates & Bradshaw are recruiting on behalf of a major Construction & Maintenance company in the Hull area who operate as one of the leading building, repairs, and maintenance contractors. They are presently employing around 500 people and have a turnover of £50m and they have some ambitious plans in place to grow this again over the coming years.

Purpose of the Role

* To deliver Plumbing work to responsive and routine maintenance repairs

* To deliver 1st, 2nd and 3rd fix joinery work on construction contracts

* To discuss issues directly on site with customers to determine exact requirements

* Carry out work to specifications, drawing and work sheets

* Undertake Plumbing work in numerous locations on each day with minimal supervision

* To participate as part of the companies out of hours call out team

* To act as a mentor within the workplace for apprentices

* Accurately complete all relevant internal and external paperwork

* To drive company vehicles responsibly

Qualifications & Skills

* Time served or City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 Plumbing

* Own Tools

* Full UK Driving Licence

* CSCS Card (Desirable)

Earnings:

* Basic salary £32,113, Expected Average Overall Total Earnings £34,000+

* 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

* £600 per year for zero sickness absence paid bi-annually

* Call out rota and standby, one full week = £700

* Overtime paid at premium rates

* Productivity bonus scheme
