Job Description
Astute Recruitment are exclusively partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to find an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic finance team based in Kidderminster.
This role is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be detail-orientated, proactive and a team player. In this newly formed position, your responsibility will be to support the finance team with a range of accounting tasks.
Duties:
* Processing invoices and credits daily
* Filing invoices with associated delivery notes
* Bank and supplier statement reconciliation
* Processing month end payments
* Managing petty cash and posting monthly journals
* Balance and close central cash drawers daily
* Working on the sales ledger
* Chasing overdue accounts
* Review credit limits
* Log customer queries
* Further ad hoc duties when required
Candidate Requirements:
* 2-3 years previous experience in a similar role
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to effectively multitask
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Clear and concise communicator
Benefits and Salary:
* Salary up to £26,000 depending on experience
* Working hours of 8:30am until 5pm
* 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
