We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated General Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early education to make a real difference in the classroom.
Position: Reception General Teaching Assistant
Location: Barnet
Salary: £90 per day
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Parking: On-site parking available
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons to a class of 30 Reception-aged students.
* Provide targeted support to students with varying needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Collaborate with another TA, who will be working with a child with SEN.
* Support the development of children’s phonics skills, ensuring they meet early learning milestones.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with early years or primary-aged children, particularly in Reception.
* A strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development.
* Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a plus.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, under the guidance of the class teacher.
* A patient, proactive, and empathetic approach to working with young children.
