Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, committed, and inspiring Teacher of Textiles to work in the Visual Arts and Design and Technology Curriculum Area. This is a Maternity Cover post, initially for two terms.
The applicant would be required to teach some KS3 Design Technology, DT Textiles GCSE (DT Specification) and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (both Art and Design Specification). The successful candidate will:
Have a good relevant first degree and be QTS qualified by the start date •
Have the subject knowledge and experience to teach Design Technology at KS3, DT Textiles GCSE and Fashion and Textiles GCSE and A-Level (Art and Design Specification)
Be able to motivate and inspire students to love Design Technology and Art
Be committed to working successfully as a member of a team • have very strong organizational and interpersonal skills
