Role Overview
The Learning & Development Manager will work closely with the Senior Learning & Development Manager as part of a global team, leading the development and delivery of learning programs across various offices.
This full-time, global role is ideal for an experienced Learning & Development professional ready to step into a managerial position. The role involves managing both ongoing and new projects, with a focus on Junior Associates, Trainees, and Global Business Functions (GBF), which includes managers and legal support staff.
This role also includes direct management of the Learning & Development Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management:
- Develop and sustain strong working relationships with global stakeholders.
- Manage global Learning & Development programs, ensuring they meet current needs and incorporate feedback.
- Source and collaborate with external training providers as needed.
- Take on direct delivery or co-delivery of program content where relevant.
Training Delivery:
- Lead training programs designed to support Junior Associates, GBF Managers, Trainees, and other development programs.
- Participate in content delivery across training initiatives, both virtual and in-person.
Compliance and Regulatory Training:
- Collaborate with the Compliance team and other departments to coordinate required regulatory refresher training.
- Ensure that all qualified legal staff meet their regulatory training requirements.
Learning Management System (LMS):
- Oversee the LMS with the support of the Learning & Development Coordinator, ensuring maximum efficiency and user engagement.
- Continuously optimise LMS usage, content, and processes.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Learning & Development Coordinator, overseeing their day-to-day responsibilities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum of five years of Learning & Development experience, with at least two years in an advisory role.
- Previous experience supervising or managing a team.
- Professional background in corporate or commercial environments, preferably within a professional services or law firm.
- Skilled in facilitating and delivering interactive training sessions.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate with senior stakeholders and external vendors.
- Recent experience working with a Learning Management System.
