Sheet Metal Worker
Rochester, Kent
Monday – Friday Days (39hrs)
Hourly rate: £17ph
Regular OT at x1.5
Willing to consider a higher hourly rate for the right person
Our Rochester based client is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker/Fabricator to join their friendly team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned and highly skilled sheet metal worker with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
They will be proficient in the fabrication, forming, bending and shaping of various types of metals, working to drawing specifications using both traditional hand tools and methods as well as modern day machinery.
Requirements
* Able to read and work to technical drawings and blueprints
* Work to fine limit tolerances
* Previous experience with aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, copper and brass.
* CNC and manual brake press programmer, setter and operator.
* Fly press, rollers, hand forming, shaping, dressing, shrinking, stretching and wheeling.
* Drilling, countersinking, guillotining and sawing.
* Sub-Assemblies, deburring, sanding and polishing
