Job Description


Veterinary Medical Care is an essential business and Veterinary Specialists of Alaska is looking for  Veterinary Technicians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our 3 doctor hospital. We have a strong Technician team and we are looking for a positive, energetic addition who shares our dedication to protecting our clients, staff, patients, and community to the team.

Compensation: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour.

Commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes medical, dental, health care spending or reimbursement accounts, employee discounts, and PTO.

Qualifications:
Veterinary Technician in Alaska with a minimum one-year experience. Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required. The ability to function in a fast-paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role.

Job duties include, but are not limited to; surgical nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending doctor's orders, assisting with consultations, calculation and administration of medications, in-house lab work sampling and analysis, catheter placement, monitoring and managing patients' comfort, and updating clients on their pet's progress.

Schedule:
  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
