Job Description
Job Title: Senior Support Worker
Location: MK6 milton Keynes
Salary: £27,040 - £28,000 per annum (DOE)
Liaises With: Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Care Workers, Educational and multi-disciplinary teams across the organisation, external providers, and partnership organisations.
PLEASE NOTE: This role requires prior experience in a Residential children's home setting along with a Full UK Manual Drivers License

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire: Provide day-to-day care and support for young people, guiding them through activities, education, and statutory meetings.
Team Leadership: Lead shifts and manage a care team, ensuring a therapeutic approach is maintained.
Safeguarding: Ensure the welfare and safety of young people, maintaining high standards of care.
Operational Excellence: Assist in operating within legal parameters as described in the company’s policies and procedures.
Holistic Development: Support the business, clinical, and social development of the service.
Must-Haves:
NVQ Level 3: Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent relevant residential experience.
Communication Skills: Proficient in written and spoken English for record-keeping and report writing.
Experience: Working with young people aged 12 to 17 with challenging behaviours, shift leading, and supervising care staff.
Knowledge: Understanding of the problems faced by children and young people, and the effects of abuse and depression.
Driver’s License: Valid and up-to-date.
