Education Regulatory/Compliance lawyer 2 years’ PQE LONDON

Well-regarded Education law team in London is looking to recruit an Education Regulatory/ Compliance lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team advises and represents Education providers and they are looking to expand their thriving regulatory compliance practice with a bright and pragmatic lawyer. The Education Regulatory Compliance practice guides clients through the regulatory frameworks and helps to manage the legal challenges that they face. If you're an experienced Education lawyer, specialising in parent and student matters and compliance with regulatory frameworks that apply to schools, then this could be the role for you. Ideally you will have broad expertise across contentious and non- contentious aspects of the work and will be experienced in advising maintained schools and academies (both single and multi-academy trusts) on these issues. Working closely with the team lead for the firm’s academies and maintained school practice, you'll enjoy helping to service and supervise the work of the team and help to deliver strategy at a time of political change and huge opportunity for the sector. The caseload will include: • admissions and exclusions (including appeals) • the management of student behaviour and discipline • safeguarding of students • special educational need and equality issues • complaints and claims (usually tribunal and JR) • inspection advice • EHCP consultations and funding issues.

The work is also likely to involve critical incident management and reputation protection, so some experience in this area would be helpful.
