Job Description
YourTeaching Ltd are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school community in Thanet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners and helping them reach their full potential.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to provide essential support in the classroom. Your role will include working with individual students or small groups, assisting with lesson delivery, and helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment. You will also provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring every child can thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students, particularly those with additional needs.
* Assist with classroom management and help create a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
* Prepare teaching resources and materials to support lesson delivery.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
* Help deliver targeted interventions to support students’ learning and development.
* Build strong relationships with students, fostering confidence and motivation.
About You:
* Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential.
* A positive, proactive approach and a genuine passion for supporting students’ learning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
* Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to a variety of activities in school life.
* A desire to continue learning and developing within your role.
Desirable Qualifications:
* A Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) or similar.
* Experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* First Aid qualification.
