Job Description
Great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a very successful civil engineering contractor.
The position will be based near Bridgwater
Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Advising the site team on all commercial & contractual issues
* Overseeing supply chain management
* Preparing internal contract valuations,
* Managing change through CEMAR
* Preparing monthly cost and value reports
* Compiling forecasts and attend forecast meetings
* Ensuring timely production of Monthly Applications for Payment
* Mentoring junior members of the commercial team
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Possess excellent understanding of NEC forms of contracts
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and office packages
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Commercial awareness
* Experience in producing internal and external reports
* A relevant, degree level qualification - desirable
* A nuclear, M&E or civils background – desirable
* Experience working under TSC contracts – desirable
* Relevant professional qualification (RICS/CICES) – desirable.
