Farm Assistant – Wandsworth – £90-£100 per day – full/part time – ASAP Start – SEN school and Primary & Secondary / Post 16 year groups
* x4 Farm Assistants to work on the therapy farm needed
* Full & Part time roles available
* SEN School - SEMH (Social and emotional mental health)
* Therapy Farm Site attached to SEN School

The Position – Farm Assistant
We are looking for x4 Farm Assistants to work on the schools therapy farm supporting with care and support for the animals. This role will include ensuring the the farm is clear and maintained for staff and students to access it throughout the day, feeding and caring for the animals as well as suppoting other staff members to run the farm smoothly. Ideally, you will have existing experience within the animal sector or an animal care qualification.
The job is ‘hands-on’ and involves daily cleaning of all the animals, therefore a keen eye for detail is imperative. The farm features a menagerie of animals from hoof stock through to reptiles; so, a base knowledge of a variety of species is crucial. The successful candidate would also have a significant amount of responsibility regarding both pupils and animals. You will be required to work between two sites in Tooting and Surrey.
This is an all-year round role - full and part time hours available
8.30am-4pm standard hours
Previous experience is ideal however, the school do offer training throughout the year.
The School – Farm Assistant
This is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social emotional and mental health needs.
Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub and outdoor adventure playground and access to weekly music lessons and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses such as motor vehicle studies, construction, horticulture and hospitality. All pupils benefit from regular animal therapy at the Farm, which is located on the spacious school site.
