Role summary:


The Specification Sales Manager’s job purpose is to successfully drive specification of our range of residential heating and ventilation products to both the New Build and Social Housing market, capturing project opportunity to create a pipeline volume for delivery in line with market growth, contributing to our market leading position.

As the Residential Heating & Ventilation market expands, this role is critical in enabling Mitsubishi Electric to continue to offer industry leading products and services to these transitioning market sectors

By supporting the customer journey and experience of the specification process through early engagement, design, imparted knowledge and education both legislatively and technically, our Ecodan & Lossnay products will continue on their industry leading trajectory in terms of sales derived from our successfully specified projects, as well as switching competitor specifications through further consultation.


To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Achieve their agreed sales targets, objectives and agreed KPI’s
  • Achieve a minimum of 8 – 10 effective sales calls per week
  • Develop, manage and maintain new and existing relationships with influencing stakeholders throughout the process of specification sales into the New Build & Social Housing markets
  • Identify, develop and manage architects to ensure they specify our products within their projects
  • Work with their Installer Sales Manager colleagues to secure our specified projects and then collaboratively manage these projects through to successful handover
  • Ensure that all requested house designs are submitted with the required information and detail to enable correct design to be completed within SLA expectations
  • Effectively manage their customers and activities in the CRM platform
  • Work with our Pre-Sales & Technical team to ensure that all customer requests for design and quotations are in line with SLA expectations
  • Ensure that all activity and projects are managed effectively and correctly within the CRM platform
  • Project management to drive accurate forecasting of both revenue and product requirements
  • Supporting regional events to promote awareness of the solutions we provide in their region
