M&E Manager

This leading main contractor has been established for 100+ years with 5+years of work secured in the Reading and surrounding regions.

Role:

As the M&E Manager you'll be overseeing the delivery of M&E trades (both in house & external) with an opportunity to expand your management exposure across multiple live sites working on dynamic and challenging projects.

We are looking for a boot's on the ground M&E Manager who enjoys partnering with subcontractors with a pragmatic approach to building.

The role will involve traveling to project's thought-out the Reading area and the outskirts of London with travel allowance/vehicle provided.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple M&E projects, managing timelines, resources, and sub-contractors.
• Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide regular progress reports to the Building Services Manager.
• Ensure compliance with construction methods and building specifications.
• Lead quality control initiatives and weekly site meetings with MEP contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance, procurement, and labor schedules.
• Manage commissioning processes and quality management for MEP installations.
• Offer technical support to site teams and challenge sub-contractors where necessary.
• Ensure adherence to building regulations, fire safety standards, and snagging protocols.

Key Requirements:

• Strong 50/50 knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Solid understanding of current building regulations and quality standards.
• Experience in managing diverse M&E projects and leading site teams.
• Proficiency with IT systems and project management tools.
• Ability to travel across sites as required, including Theale and London.
