Job Description
Job Title: Service & Commissioning Engineer
Main Purpose of Job: To undertake the maintenance and commissioning of automatic sprinkler systems, deluge systems, fire hydrants, foam systems, gas suppression systems, high and low water mist systems, hose reels, pre-action systems pump rooms, wet and dry risers and associated mechanical services, in accordance with the current codes of practice, manufacturers’ requirements and British Standards.
Responsible to: Office Manager and Directors
Working alone or alongside other engineers as site constraints and workloads allow. Support and assistance can be obtained from the Office Manager.
• Servicing of all residential, domestic, and commercial sprinkler systems.
• Servicing of all fire hydrant systems.
• Servicing of all dry and wet riser systems.
• Commissioning of systems as required.
• Small works and remedial repairs.
• Dry riser installations.
• Survey systems and meet with clients to complete inspections.
• Work with Office Manager to book in all services and follow ups.
• Support installation projects, where necessary.
• Complete all work reports and company paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in a 24-hour emergency call out rota.
• Generate new leads and spend time on the road networking, where required.
• To carry out any other tasks as may be delegated by the Directors and Office Manage
