Your Role

Join the driving force behind the Army, experiencing adventure and new challenges while giving back to the community in this flexible role with the Army Reserve.

As a part-time Armoured Vehicle Crew member, you’ll be a part of the close-knit team carrying out reconnaissance, surveillance, defensive and security duties in high-tech military vehicles.

You’ll receive full training in weapon use and military tactics, undertaking dismounted missions (on foot) and mounted missions (in offroad and armoured vehicles).

The pay you receive in the Army Reserve goes straight into your pocket with no deductions for tax, and it increases as you gain seniority and experience.

On completion of your initial military and employment training, you could earn at least $210/day tax-free.

Additional amounts are paid for time spent on exercises and deployments.

Entry Requirements

For this role, you must be over 17 at time of enlistment and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics. You must also be an Australian citizen and able to successfully obtain a security clearance.
