Software Test Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

Job Description : The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of applications through both manual and automated testing processes. The role requires strong expertise in core JAVA/C# and experience with testing tools like Selenium WebDriver and Appium. Key Responsibilities : Test Planning & Execution : - Design, develop, and execute test cases for both manual and automated testing based on business requirements and technical specifications. - Create and maintain detailed test plans and strategies to cover functional, integration, regression, and system testing. Automation Testing : - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and other relevant automation tools. - Identify areas for automation and enhance the existing test automation framework to improve coverage and efficiency. Manual Testing : - Conduct manual testing when required, ensuring thorough validation of application functionality, user interface, and performance. - Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues and suggest improvements. Defect Management : - Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools, collaborate with development teams to resolve issues, and retest fixes. - Analyze root causes of defects and provide recommendations for improvements. Test Documentation : - Prepare and maintain test case documentation, test scripts, and test reports. - Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting of test execution results to stakeholders. Collaboration : - Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. - Participate in agile processes like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure seamless integration of testing activities. Performance & Security Testing : - Perform performance and security testing where required, ensuring the robustness and security of applications. - Use appropriate tools and frameworks to simulate user load and identify performance bottlenecks. Continuous Improvement : - Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to implement best practices. - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members when needed.
