BI Engineer - Dashboard Design

Job Description : We are looking for a skilled BI Engineer to join our team and drive business intelligence initiatives by leveraging Power BI and other BI tools. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in creating data models, designing dashboards, and using DAX and Power Query to generate actionable insights. This role is critical for supporting data-driven decision-making and enhancing business performance through effective data visualization and reporting. Key Responsibilities : Power BI Development : - Design, develop, and maintain interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI. - Create complex data visualizations that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Data Modeling : - Build and manage data models in Power BI, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data representation. - Integrate data from various sources and establish relationships to create comprehensive models. DAX & Power Query : - Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) to create calculated columns, measures, and complex calculations. - Employ Power Query to perform data transformations and clean data for accurate reporting. Report & Dashboard Creation : - Develop detailed reports and dashboards to meet business needs and requirements. - Ensure reports are visually appealing, easy to understand, and deliver key metrics effectively. Performance Optimization : - Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring quick load times and efficient data processing. - Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues as they arise. Collaboration & Support : - Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide solutions. - Provide technical support and training to users on Power BI functionalities and best practices. Data Integration : - Integrate data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, and flat files, into Power BI for comprehensive analysis. - Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reports and dashboards. Documentation : - Maintain clear documentation of BI processes, data sources, and report development. - Update documentation as needed to reflect changes and enhancements. Skills Required : - Proficiency in Power BI for creating dashboards and reports. - Strong knowledge of DAX for data analysis and calculations. - Experience with Power Query for data transformation and cleaning. - Excellent skills in data modeling and report design. - Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
