Senior Infrastructure Engineer - VMware Solutions

Summary of Position : We are seeking a skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise across hypervisors, hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI), storage solutions, and hardware management. This individual will be responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions that support complex, mission-critical environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hypervisors, storage, and hardware management, with experience in hybrid and cloud-based VMware solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Design, implement, and manage hypervisor environments with expertise in VMware and Hyper-V. - Deploy and manage hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions, including Nutanix, VxRail, HPE Alletra, and HPE Simplivity, ensuring seamless integration and high performance. - Administer and maintain SAN storage networks using Brocade, Cisco MDS, and Dell solutions. - Oversee storage infrastructure with systems including NetApp, Dell PowerStore, Dell PowerScale, Pure FlashArrays, and FlashBlades. - Manage hardware platforms and hardware management solutions like Cisco UCS B and C series, Cisco UCSM, Cisco Intersight, Dell PowerEdge, and HPE hardware. - Implement, troubleshoot, and optimize hybrid and cloud solutions, including VMware NSX, VMC on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, and AzureStack HCI for seamless and secure operations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project execution, addressing client needs, and ensuring a robust, scalable IT infrastructure. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or similar roles. - Proficiency with hypervisor technologies, specifically VMware and Hyper-V. - Demonstrated experience with HCI solutions : Nutanix, VxRail, HPE Alletra, and HPE Simplivity. - Strong knowledge of SAN storage networks and storage solutions, including NetApp, Dell PowerStore, Dell PowerScale, and Pure Storage. - Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS hardware (B and C series), Cisco UCSM, Intersight, and HPE hardware management. - Familiarity with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud platforms, specifically VMware NSX, VMC on AWS, and Azure VMware Solutions. Preferred Qualifications : - Certifications in relevant areas (e., VMware, Cisco, Nutanix) are a plus. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience in large-scale enterprise environments. - Knowledge of network virtualization and hybrid cloud solutions (ref:hirist.tech)
