Lead Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management/Threat Detection

Salary : 25-30lpa The Lead Security role is responsible for managing the organization's security operations and ensuring protection against potential cyber threats. The candidate will oversee security incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's security posture. Key Responsibilities : Security Operations Center (SOC) Management : - Lead the SOC team to ensure 24/7 monitoring and management of security incidents. - Implement and manage security tools, systems, and protocols for effective threat detection. Incident Response : - Coordinate and lead the response to security incidents, ensuring timely containment, eradication, and recovery. - Investigate security breaches, providing detailed incident reports, and recommending improvements to prevent recurrence. Threat Intelligence & Vulnerability Management : - Continuously assess and manage security threats, identifying vulnerabilities in systems and networks. - Implement vulnerability remediation plans and ensure all systems are updated with the latest security patches. Risk Assessment & Mitigation : - Perform regular security risk assessments and work with other departments to mitigate identified risks. - Develop and implement strategies to improve overall cybersecurity resilience. Compliance & Policy Management : - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR) and maintain security policies. - Conduct security awareness training for employees to ensure adherence to security best practices. Reporting & Analytics : - Prepare detailed security reports for senior management, providing insights into security incidents, threat trends, and vulnerabilities. - Develop key metrics to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the security operations. Collaboration & Leadership : - Lead a team of security analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure security is integrated into all business processes.
