Description:
The Senior Accountant performs all daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions for all assigned areas. This position is also responsible for participating in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings, annual audit preparation, and other special projects as requested by management.
Requirements:Education & Experience
- 3+ years' experience working as an accountant or in a similar role.
- Profound experience with typical accounting procedures.
- Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Good practical experience with accounting software packages?†such as Great Plains.
- Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends.
- Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area; a certification such as CMA or CPA will be a bonus.

- A strong work ethic is required.
- Must possess "soft skills": conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills.
