Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Spectrum’s Product and Technology team creates, develops, and operates the nation’s fasters mobile service, most reliable internet service, most viewed live TV app, and the most advanced Wifi, serving nearly 100 million users and 500 million devices. As Production Engineer on the Spectrum TV – Roku team, your role is vital to maintaining the team’s day-to-day operations. The position has direct impact to the overall quality of experience our customers are delivered when using the Spectrum TV app on the Roku platform.


RESPONSIBILITIES



As a Production Engineer III on the Spectrum TV – Roku team, you will be a valued resource that interacts with multiple stakeholders, cross functional teams, and external vendors in your day to day operations. You will be responsible for the following:


Application release efforts for Spectrum TV, SpectrumU, and Spectrum Enterprise apps on Roku
Ownership and management of project Git repository and CI/CD practices
Developing internal tools to improve team operational efficiency
Management of hosted application configurations
Management of A/B experimentation on the platform
Management of in-app promotions within Spectrum TV app on Roku
Application monitoring via multiple analytics services
Outage triaging and facilitating adhoc customer quality investigations


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

Experience:
Database Management Systems – 1-3+ years
Coding, testing, and designing software – 1-3+ years
Software Development Methodologies – 1-3+ years


Education:
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience


Technical skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool
Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns
Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development
Knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, clients, data stores, CI/CD Pipelines
Knowledge of design patterns and frameworks


Skills:
Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and technical leadership
Basic negotiation skills
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
Ability to work under general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight

This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days)

The base pay for this position generally is between $78,900.00 and $139,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
