Embedded Software Engineer - Firmware

Job Description : As a Embedded Software Engineer, you would be involved in the firmware development of the various products of the division. The objective of the job is to ensure implementation and verification of several features at the firmware level based on the requirements of product, on FPGA prototyping platform and RTL simulation in a first step and then perform post silicon support by developing patches. As a Embedded Software Engineer, you : - Will be responsible for writing low level drivers for different Imaging IP's and integrating them. - Will be responsible for FW architecture and integration for device features - Will support applications and validation in debugging bugs/issues on fpga , silicon and provide prompt support. - Will collaborate with different Product Development Teams: IC Design, IC Architecture & Algo, validation. - Will collaborate with application team to provide best solution for the customer. Educational Qualification : - Bachelor's degree Mandatory Skills required : - Strong programming skills in following languages - C (good proficiency), Python (good proficiency), Perl , any other scripting language - Good knowledge and experience of working on Microcontrollers and developing embedded FW for Microcontroller based devices. - Should have experience of developing low level drivers and should have strong debugging skills. - Good knowledge of interrupt handlers, protocols like I2C , MIPI standard and HW blocks like Timers , GPIO's. - Repository knowledge - svn ,Git etc - Knowledge of Unix environment , SimVision for debug purpose, would additionally help and will be preferred. - Experience on ISO26262 ,ASpice processes or Cybersecurity basics would be an added advantage. - Knowledge in CMOS image sensors and in image data processing would also be advantageous. Soft skills required : - Work independently with the least mentoring and able to handle complex and multiple tasks at the same time. - Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Good level of autonomy, methodology and rigorous - Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
