Cloud Analogy - Enterprise Monitoring Engineer - Splunk

Position Overview : We are seeking a full-time Enterprise Monitoring Engineer with primary experience in Splunk, specifically Splunk Cloud, and familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and Windows systems administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and enhancing our enterprise monitoring capabilities, ensuring the stability and reliability of our tools and processes. Responsibilities : - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal teams. - Collaborate with Level 1 support and provide escalation support to resolve complex issues. - Develop and maintain monitoring documentation and incident response guides. - Work with development and network engineering teams to resolve issues. - Identify and recommend improvements for system stability and reliability. - Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring tools and automated solutions. - Maintain competency in current technology stack : Splunk Cloud, SCOM/SCORCH, Dynatrace AppMon, and Catchpoint. - Perform scripting tasks using PowerShell and Python for automation. - Conduct Windows and Linux systems administration. - Handle authentication, authorization, and SSO, as well as AWS & Azure DevOps and REST APIs. - Maintain emergency availability (24/7) for ad-hoc issues. Required Skills/Experience : - Advanced knowledge of Splunk, including data input configurations and monitoring tools. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Application Monitoring (Dynatrace AppMon) - Synthetic Monitoring (Catchpoint) - Infrastructure monitoring (SCOM) Highly Preferred Skills/Experience : - Strong understanding of network protocols, systems architecture, and infrastructure components. - Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues. - Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation. - Experience with cloud technologies and SaaS platforms is a plus. - Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively. Upcoming Team Initiatives : - Implementing Splunk Edge Processor for all inputs. - Migrating on-premises Dynatrace AppMon servers to AWS. - Managing Ivanti Ticket status lifecycle from Splunk.
