As our clients Compliance Analyst you will be a key figure in ensuring that law firms receiving their litigation funding maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and efficiently progress their cases. Your role encompasses auditing, compliance oversight, and collaboration with law firms to enhance their case management practices.
Responsibilities:
Compliance Oversight:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of law firms to evaluate their compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Ensure that the internal database is up-to-date with actions, dates, and next steps related to compliance and audit activities.
- Evolve the audit system, reviewing questions, reporting mechanisms, and information gathered to align with business objectives.
- Periodically review law firm due diligence and SRA information to maintain compliance records.
Audit Management (Pre 12 Months):
- Chase corrective actions resulting from external audits with law firms.
- Assist in the administration of external audits for all cases up to twelve months, including organising audit schedules and ensuring timely completion.
- Arrange calls or in-person meetings with law firms to monitor case progress, review their approach to schemes, and document key milestone dates.
- Collaborate with external auditors to compile audit reports for stakeholder reporting.
Audit and Review (Post 12 Months):
- Perform in-depth reviews of a portfolio of cases over 18 months, conducting audits and managing follow-up actions.
- Arrange calls or in-person meetings with law firms to track case progress, assess their approach to schemes, and record critical litigation milestones.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate know-how and user manuals for the audit process to ensure consistency throughout Sentry Auditing work.
- Create additional reports periodically for reporting to shareholders.
- Prepare detailed and actionable reports on audit findings, compliance status, and case progression.
As the Compliance Analyst you will be a critical asset in ensuring that law firms uphold compliance standards and efficiently progress their cases. Your legal expertise and auditing skills will play a crucial role in this businesses ongoing success.
Salary: £25,000 - 30,000.
