A well-known and highly successful manufacturer in Bristol is seeking to add an Operations Manager to their team as part of a company-wide growth plans. With an aggressive growth strategy in place across the next 5 years, this business is able to offer vast career development opportunities.
Your new role
As the Operations Manager, you'll be reporting to the General Manager with a team of 6 production supervisors reporting to you, in addition to the 6 supervisors, you will have a team of 8 maintenance engineers reporting to you. You will be expected to support the team by driving performance, coaching and developing them so they can meet their career ambitions. Currently, the business operates in a very reactive way towards maintenance; you will be expected to support the business in transitioning towards a more PPM led schedule.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Operations Manager vacancy, you must have a proven track record of managing diverse teams within a manufacturing environment. In addition to this, you will be required to have strong leadership credentials, an understanding of lean / six sigma processes, and the desire to continue with personal / professional growth. Ideally, you will have worked within the Recycling, Energy from Waste (EFW) or a similar heavy industry, however this won't be crucial to the success of your application.
What you'll get in return
As the Operations Manager, you'll be paid an annual salary of up to £55,000. In addition to this salary, you'll be given a variety of internal and external training courses to support your continued development. As a part of the site leadership team, you will also be entitled to their leadership bonus scheme.
