Communications Officer - Summer Management

Salary Range Band 6 $95,799 - $104,420 plus 11.5% Super
Full time fixed term contract position until May 2025
Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements available

What’s the role all about
This role is a key member of our dynamic, creative, and high-performing Communications and Brand team. It is focussed on the Summer Management Program and key Emergency Management initiatives for the upcoming summer season to ensure that our beaches and parks remain safe and accessible for the community during the busy summer months. We are looking for an exceptional written communicator who is a team player and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Fixed term opportunity until May 2025.
What you might do

Develop and deliver a Summer Management Communications Plan to inform and engage our diverse audiences about summer safety and activities.
Act as the primary communications liaison for all stakeholders involved in the Summer Management campaign, coordinating all related communications activities.
Create and implement impactful communications content across various platforms, including newsletters, brochures, posters, websites, social media, and outdoor signage.
Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to produce engaging written and visual content that resonates with our community.

Who we are looking for

Proven expertise in communications strategy and implementation.
Strong writing skills with the ability to create content for varied audiences.
Experience in planning and executing communication campaigns across multiple channels.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work flexibly, effectively, and cooperatively as part of a cohesive team in a changing, demanding, fast-paced and complex work environment.
