Director Development Services
Come and work in of the most dynamic communities in Tasmania! We are looking for a collaborative executive to come and join our senior management team as a Director Development Services.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be a leader of change, and work across the whole of council in the development and implementation of strategic and corporates projects such as urban planning, placemaking, open space and housing strategies to name a few! You will ensure services are provided within budget and comply with relevant statutory obligations, regulations, codes, guidelines, and Council policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a proven background in strategic planning and leadership within development services, be able to demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach in a changing environment, showing a willingness to innovate and challenge existing practices and processes.
You will lead by example and be committed in delivering quality services, positive customer experience and community engagement, possessing high level thinking and problem solving, along with strong political acumen are essential attributes for success in this role.
Salary Range: An attractive salary package, including a private use vehicle and 15% superannuation, will be negotiated with successful applicant and will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Position Hours: Full-Time (9-day fortnight/19-day months considered) – we would also be happy to consider part-time hours (4 days per week) which can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
A typical working day is Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 4.45pm (30 minutes lunch).
Please note: A Working with Vulnerable Persons’ (WWVP) check, health assessment and reference checks will be requested and organised by Council prior to commencement of employment.
