Job Description
White Label is representing an engineering and manufacturing company in Dewsbury that have a requirement for a Product Development Engineer to join their team.
As the Product Development Engineer, you will be pivotal in designing and developing new products for the company using Solidworks.
My client if offering a salary of up to £35,000 as well as 35 days holiday, pension, and other benefits.
The working hours are 08:30 – 5 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 3:45 on Friday.
Responsibilities of the Product Development Engineer
* Developing ideas from concept through manufacture, to launch in line with the New Product Introduction process.
* Creating 2D and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks 3D software.
* Creating and modifying technical drawings and product specifications, including material lists and product costings.
* Driving forward multiple projects, ensuring the highest level of design quality.
* Communicating with our supplier partners on a regular basis to source products and components.
* Validating products using our in-house Thermal, Optical and Electrical test facilities.
* Ensuring that Sustainability and Circularity is designed into new products.
* Working with our Product engineers on the creation of Bills of Materials.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of all Design and Development procedures.
Experience required of the Product Development Engineer
* Experience using Solidworks.
* Experience with Sheet Metal and Plastics would be an advantage.
* 12 months or more experience.
