Job Description

Business Development Manager/Sales Executive

V-Recruit are currently working on behalf of a longstanding, reputable family business to recruit a permanent Sales Executive, or Business Development Manager to start work as soon as possible in the Rotherham area.

Our client employs over 2,000 people, at over 24 sites throughout the UK and Australia, and is one of the largest timber processing specialists in Europe. This role would be based at one of our clients’ pallet & packaging sites in Rotherham; you would be part of a small and friendly sales team, completing an all-round Sales/Business Development role by developing new sales business and manage the current customer base.

Duties to include:

* Create and implement a business plan to maximise sales and always deliver excellent standards of customer service & support

* Tailoring appropriate solutions to meet clients’ needs whilst developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of all packaging solutions.

* Handing a large volume of customer enquiries, providing prompt quotations and closing sales

* Working as part of a team to achieve targeted results, analysing sales and preparing reports

* Monitoring optimal stock levels and progress to purchasing stock as required

* Technical and after sales support services

* Travelling within the UK to visit clients and prospective clients

* Maintain strong sales administration including use of CRM to follow up all leads, enquiries and quotes

Job Specifics

* Sales Executive Salary around £35,000pa (Office Based)

* Business Development Manager is around £40,000£45,000 per annum, depending on experience and job role (salary will increase with service)

* Performance related bonus

* Company car & fuel paid for Business Development Managers

* Working hours are office hours, between 9am5pm, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break) Some flexibility may be required, to meet customer needs/timescales

* Annual leave is 33 days per annum, including statutory holidays

* Enhanced pension scheme: 3% enhanced employer contribution

The Candidate

We are looking for a candidate will the following skills and attributes:

* Full UK driving licence, ideally with access to own transport

* Proven sales history and the ability to achieve set targets

* Good administrative, organisational and time management skills.

* Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills

* Ability to work independently and within a team environment

* Competent in Microsoft applications, and ideally some experience with CRM practices (although training will be given on CRM system)

* Effective communicator, with friendly disposition and good customer service skills
