Seeking a standard Senior Mechanical Design Engineer post for a regular London building services design consultancy?

The role:
Here we have a Director preparing to retire, a talented team that needs support and a Principal Engineer who likes engineering and doesn't want to take the top spot. In short, this role gives you:
A clear route to promotion. It's a proven path; the Director I'm dealing with joined as a Junior Engineer eight (8) years ago.
No stage 5 design; they focus on stages 13 with some work to stage 4 in industrial, commercial offices, retail parks and hotels working for developers or owners.
The company:
They only do M&E; you won't be playing second fiddle to the C&S team. Everyone is fee-earning; their senior management are sharp technically and more importantly, connected with the world.
They know what's going on from your perspective and a strategic one.
Everyone is focused on winning the next project on the back of the current one. That's why over 85% of their work is with people they know and who appreciate them. That's without relying on frameworks BTW…
They currently employ 60 people and the firm is moving to be an Employee Owned Trust. The profit they make isn't for the few, it's for those who create it.
It's just one of many reasons why if you want standard, you don't want to be here.
