CAD Engineer

Our Birmingham office’s Civil Engineering team currently have an opening for a CAD Engineer with 2-6 years experience to join the team and assist on a wide range of projects. You will be expected to assist on a range of projects, at any stage of their development, from conception to completion, and take responsibility for the work you do. The team currently has a wide variety of infrastructure projects including, residential, commercial, industrial, utility and renewable energy projects. Our work specifically relates to the civil engineering and utility works; however, you will be expected to work with other disciplines to help progress the overall project. Our projects currently include but are not limited to:

• Providing a central resource to the various disciplines, offering CAD services
• Assisting with the preparation of civil, drainage, highways and utilities engineering drawings
• Assisting with data depiction and drawing modifications
• Managing the delivery of individual tasks or activities to programme and budget
• Taking part in key project control procedures such as drawing standards, issues and registrations.

An ideal candidate will require:

• A relevant qualification e.g. HNC, HND, BTEC in Construction or the Built Environment is preferable, however experience within built environment or similar will be considered
• Comprehensive working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Preferable experience of working with, Civils 3D, and BIM
