Job Description
Chief Quality Inspector required for an outgoing and family friendly aerospace manufacturer who place emphasis on staff wellbeing to achieve their business goals.
The Opportunity
This role is going to be managing the quality team inside of C&F. In terms of direct reports, this candidate will have 3 QIs and 1 QA reporting into them. The role itself involves the day to day running of the quality team and being involved with FAIRs, and corrective actions on the produced parts

Role and Responsibilities
Dimensional and visual inspection of components at first off and at final inspection.
Product inspection and verification of certification at goods inwards.
Maintaining records associated with inspection activities.
Completing First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.
Operating and programming of CMM’s.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role, will be coming from an aviation business, leading a team of quality inspectors, where they have carried out all sorts of different inspections, including dimensional and visual with the aid of measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Aberlink CMM systems.
Essential
CMM Experience
Proficient in FAIRs
Competent in using all types of standard measuring equipment (Micrometres, Vernier’s, Shadowgraph and hard gauging etc.)
Track record within the engineering sector
Desirable
Ideally the use of Aberlink CMM
Experience of prime aerospace requirements Airbus, BAe, Rolls Royce
