The School and Role
A specialist SEND School based in Sheffield are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work full time with Secondary age pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, Global Delay, Profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex needs and Speech and Language Difficulties.
As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with the class teacher to support students in managing their emotions and working towards their targets. This role requires a highly motivated, adaptable, committed, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistant with great communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting the Class Teacher. You will work as part of a dedicated and committed team that have a child-centred approach in all they do.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
Experience of working with children, young people or Adults with Special Educational
Experience of working with pupils with SEND
Be reliable, adaptable and flexible
Resilient and engaging
An ability to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude
Moving & Handling / Hoist training desirable but not essential
