Job Description

Structured Cabling Engineer contract in Bristol

DCS Recruitment currently seek experienced data cabling engineers in Bristol on behalf of a national client.

Start: Wednesday 16th October 2024

Duration: 1 x night - ad hoc, more to follow if successful

Working up to 8 hours on night shifts

Responsibilities and desired experience:

Installation of data cabling including pulling, terminating, and testing various structured cabling - CAT5/5E, CAT6/6A, CAT7 - and equipment such as APs and EPOS systems
Installation of relevant containment in a commercial, retail setting
Safe provision and use of own hand/power tools, and termination kitThe ideal candidate will:

Hold a valid CSCS/ECS/Equivalent structured cabling/comms industry related card
Hold a valid IPAF licence for categories 3a and 3b for cabling at high level
Have a minimum of 2 years comms industry experience
Be able to provide relevant work references prior to startYou must hold a valid UKATA asbestos awareness certificate to be fully compliant for these attendances, though this can be done online prior to start.
