Job Description
White Label are excited to be working with an extremely interesting R & D Company who are small but growing, and are in need of a Junior Design Engineer to join them and support their growth.
The company are seeking a Junior Design Engineer with a mechanical engineering degree, and someone who is comfortable engaging with customers, travelling oversees where required, and learning all about their products and industry.
The company have customers and end users in all process industries – dredging, mining, oil, and gas, FMCG, chemicals, pharm, biosciences. Also, major supplier to academia and research centres linked to industrial research. Main markets in Europe, China, North America, South America, Australasia.
The Junior design engineer will be responsible for the following:
* Being a technical specialist in our industry
* Full responsibility for sensor drawings and related documentation.
* Responsible for sensor inspection and tests before delivery to customer.
* Technical support to a worldwide, process industry customer base
* Providing commissioning support and training to end users
* Providing technical support and account management input to the sales team
* Giving technical demos and training across a wide range of process applications
Your Background & Skills
* Degree qualified in mechanical, electronics or process engineering academic background
* Some experience in technical support or applications engineering
* An ability to develop ongoing relationships with customers
* Some experience using SolidWorks CAD software.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and technical software tools (such as MATLAB)
* High proficiency in English, both written and oral, additional European languages a bonus
* Strong work ethic and flexible mind set
* A methodical approach to projects with high levels of attention to detail
* Confident interpersonal skills and able to work well under pressure
* Able to travel internationally
* Full UK driving license
* Looking for a medium/long-term position with progression
* Reporting to Operations Director
* Immediate start date is possible.
The company are based in Manchester city centre and are offering a salary of £30k with a view to this increasing within 12 months. Please apply immediately if this is of interest to you.
