Job Description
Our client is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support with the development and growth of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial minded person to join a growing business.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Bookkeeping and managing payroll providers
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage intercompany balances
• Have primary responsibility for all company banking
• Preparation of statistical returns
• Prepare journals to ensure costs are recognised in the correct accounting period
• Responsible for Fixed Asset register and Depreciation
• Support in the development and production of forecasts, budgets, and financial plans
• Preparing income statements, balance sheets and other financial documents
• Analytical review of the company’s financial performance based on financial records
• Identifying problem areas and presenting recommendations to company management
• Preparation of year end schedules
• Monthly / quarterly / annual sales commissions calculations
• Overseeing and managing other aspects of financial operations
• Maintaining financial controls and processes
• Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
Skills & Experience Required:
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant
• Experience working in a similar type role with similar duties
• Familiar with Xero (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to talk 'finance' to non-finance people
Essential: Must be able to work from the office. Flexible working can be discussed at interview stage.
Free Parking Discretionary Bonus up to 30% of base salary
Hours of Work: 8.30am-5.30pm (with some flexibility of start/finish times)
