Sports Coach-
Location: Manchester
Salary: £17000 - £23000 per annum
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
GSL Education are seeking to appoint a qualified Sports Coach at an outstanding Primary School in Manchester. Come and join our dedicated and enthusiastic team in ASAP on a permanent, Full- Time contract.
As a Sports Coach, you will inspire students to achieve their full potential in both physical education and personal development.
Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess a wide range of sports and physical activities for students aged 5-10
Lead extracurricular sports clubs and competitions, fostering a positive and inclusive environment
Provide personalised coaching to support the physical and emotional development of students
Collaborate with PE teachers and other staff to create engaging and dynamic PE lessons
Promote healthy lifestyle choices and teamwork among students
Manage and maintain sports equipment and facilities
Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during all activities
Support school events and initiatives related to physical education and well-being
Requirements:
A relevant qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field
Previous experience working as a sports coach in a school environment
A passion for sports and fitness, with the ability to engage and motivate students
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures in sports
Have the right to work in the UK
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
