Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating, managing, and completing the RAI process for all residents in accordance with Medicare requirements and state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to gather data for assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all MDS assessments and care plans.
  • Providing education and training to nursing staff on the MDS process and aRAI.
  • Participating in quality assurance activities, including audits and reviews, to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Working closely with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely Medicare billing.
  • Continually monitoring and evaluating resident care to ensure it meets the highest standards and is in line with individual care plans.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, families, and residents to ensure comprehensive and personalized care.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility or nursing home setting.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI).
  • Strong understanding of Medicare regulations and requirements related to MDS and RAI.
  • Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Proven ability to lead and train nursing staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing the highest quality of care to residents.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and other healthcare IT systems.
