Job Title: Marketing Analyst
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ
Contract: 12 months
Schedule: Hybrid (Tues, Thurs in office)
Manager Notes:
- Hybrid out of Basking Ridge, NJ (Tues, Thurs in office)
- 12-month contract approval for now
- 60 people total on team, marketing and planning 4 people for now
- Focusing on a new system, will input all campaigns and projects so that they can pull reports
- Plans vs actuals and tie back to budgets
- Have more dynamic leadership dashboard that display how much work predicted to come in vs what was the actual
- Will be working on Workfront - new system
- Will need to facilitate this work
- Implementation of new processes and features into Workfront
- Little bit of meeting with partner teams and see what's working and what isnt
- End to end consumer marketing
- Managing meetings, agendas, calendars
- Working cross channels with teams
- Reporting ad hoc reporting duties
- Need them to work collaboratively with other teams in a fast paced environment
- Fluency in Google suite
- Google presentations, google docs, g suite, spreadsheets
- Can do attitude, proactive not reactive, strong verbal communication skills
- Requires having a marketing background and some of it is also proficient with a little of admin work and being able to assist leadership with presentations
- No portfolio needed, just resume
- 30%-40% admin in relation to marketing work
Must Haves:
- Being able to work with others, present and work with people you’ve never met before, strong verbal skills (working with high executives in the marketing world)
- Experience with Google Suite
- Sense of urgency, someone who can jump in and get work done
- Culture fit, team where culture and personality matters
Background:
- Relevant working exp, no telecom is needed
- Marketing background, analyst, reporting background
Interview:
- First round virtual, if moving forward with someone then they will have them come in to meet the team
Day to Day:
- Building a marketing plan, essentially a leadership deck
- Planning for next year
- Candidate wouldn’t need to know everything about marketing
- Put together google presentations
- Work collaboratively with all channel teams, creative marketing to marketing activations teams
- meeting with teams and compiling content from them
- Round of leadership review, will have to help with making sure all content needed is there, all presenters are ready
- Backend - data entry into the new Workfront system
- Will be part of strategic conversations
- Will work in the marketing operations team
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required along with relevant experience
The Consumer Integrated Marketing (IM) organization is responsible for amalgamating all integrated consumer marketing initiatives across the Central Marketing Organization (CMO), Verizon Consumer Group (the Business Unit) & Field organizations. This role will sit under the operations pillar, which is responsible for consumer marketing plans, processes, executive alignment and systems/tools enabling our organization and stakeholder partners.
The Marketing Planning Analyst II position will be responsible for:
- Requirement gathering and implementation of new processes and feature enhancements/iterations to the 2025 Annual and Quarterly planning functionality in IM’s new PM software, Workfront
- Discovery and Ways of Working output for 2025 Agency OOS process workflows, and other partner team workflows such as Retail
- Discovery and evolution of our Integrated Marketing Master Messaging Calendars (“IM Master Plan”)
- Planned vs. Actual reporting for 1H/2H Business Reviews
- Marketing Planning Support, including but not limited to:
- All end-to-end consumer marketing planning efforts including but not limited to the annual/quarterly business plans, business sponsor roadmaps, marketing priorities/ trade-offs, CMO resourcing & agency commitments.
- Quarterly Retail Strategy Sessions
- Managing meetings, agendas, calendars, and slide decks.
- Working with cross channel teams to ensure content is submitted on time and on schedule.
- Working with Executive Assistants to coordinate Executive schedules.
- Performing ad hoc project-related duties as requested.
- Slideware/deck building and q/c-ing (linking, presenter name updates, page numbers, template building)
This role requires the ability to work collaboratively, efficiently, and effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Fluency in Google Workspace including the ability to create polished, executive facing slideware.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- Can-do attitude, results oriented, strong sense of urgency, proactive, problem solver and flexible.
- Strong verbal communication skills and polished written skills.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive and protected information.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree
Six or more years of relevant work experience
REQUIRED SHIFT:
Standard 9-5, M-F
