We are looking for a Workers Compensation Attorney to join our team.
- This has the opportunity to grow into a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home, but office attendance will be required. This position will be located in Cherry Hill, NJ
- Kent & McBride, P.C. a Civil Defense litigation firm formed in 1994 with six attorneys in a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office.
- Since then, we have grown to become a regional firm with seven offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York specializing in the areas of general casualty, professional malpractice, motor vehicle, construction defect, construction accident claims, fire loss, dram shop, employment discrimination claims, premises liability, toxic tort, environmental law, workers’ compensation, products liability, subrogation, officers and directors liability, banking, real estate, foreclosure, commercial/transactional practice, estate and family law and insurance coverage claims.

Responsibilities:
- Gather evidence, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments (including researching applicable caselaw)
- Make Court appearances and argue cases.
- Draft Motion papers and Appellate Briefs.
- Bench trials.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Work independently and in teams to complete projects.
- Assist in all phases of litigation including arguing and defending motions, taking and defending depositions, and participation at trial
- Report to partners and clients regarding case status
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree. Licensed to practice law in the State of New Jersey.
- Ability to stay organized and meet rigid deadlines.
- 2-5 years of Workers Comp experience preferred
- Courtroom experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (i.e., active listening, negotiation, persuasion).
- Excellent analytical skills (i.e., critical thinking, problem solving, decision making).
- Well-developed written communication skills.
