Job Description
Job Title:First Line Support Engineer
Reporting to:IT Manager
Job Purpose:First point of contact for technical support queries as part of the in-house IT team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary point of contact for IT support queries via phone /email / chat, escalating when necessary, during working hoursof 8am 4:30pm
- Onboarding / Offboarding activities
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Diagnosing and resolving network and connectivity problems
- Installing and configuring software and hardware
- Maintaining accurate documentation of support requests and solutions
Key Attributes:
- Proven experience as a 1st Line Support Engineer or similar role
- Strong technical skills in Windows 10/11 OS, networking, and hardware troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to travel to different locations across London to support satellite offices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Beneficial to have some experience supporting Microsoft 365 ecosystem including EntraID, Exchange, InTune, AzurePlatform
- Beneficial to be able to work occasionally outside of normal hours to support the team when system downtime is mandated due to patching / upgrades etc.
