Job Description

Job Title:First Line Support Engineer

Reporting to:IT Manager

Job Purpose:First point of contact for technical support queries as part of the in-house IT team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for IT support queries via phone /email / chat, escalating when necessary, during working hoursof 8am 4:30pm
  • Onboarding / Offboarding activities
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Diagnosing and resolving network and connectivity problems
  • Installing and configuring software and hardware
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of support requests and solutions

Key Attributes:

  • Proven experience as a 1st Line Support Engineer or similar role
  • Strong technical skills in Windows 10/11 OS, networking, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to travel to different locations across London to support satellite offices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Beneficial to have some experience supporting Microsoft 365 ecosystem including EntraID, Exchange, InTune, AzurePlatform
  • Beneficial to be able to work occasionally outside of normal hours to support the team when system downtime is mandated due to patching / upgrades etc.
