Project Managers for Gov Property Agency (GPA)
Job Location
UK, United Kingdom
Job Description
Company Overview:
We are a specialist career transition company dedicated to helping individuals identify and launch their next careers. We have an exciting opportunity to join a large national organization that maintains a local feel and is recognized as an armed forces-friendly employer.
This role offers a perfect transitional opportunity for service leavers to gain exposure within the commercial world while working alongside fellow veterans, providing a comfortable and semi-familiar environment. If you have served in the UK Armed Forces and are looking to embark on your next career, this position could be the ideal fit for you.
Those with a background in project management, leadership, or handling complex tasks in dynamic environments will be well-suited for the Project Manager role within the Government Property Agency (GPA) team. While being a service leaver or veteran is not essential, your transferable skills—such as strategic planning, discipline, and the ability to lead teams under pressure—will be highly advantageous in managing high-profile projects and driving business objectives.
Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Government Property Agency (GPA) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality services for a variety of projects including site moves, new builds, office relocations, and renovations. The role involves working on-site, in one of our offices (Southampton, London, Bristol, or Oxford), and remotely. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met, developing strong client relationships, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support Business Unit Directors in achieving business objectives.
* Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
* Manage projects to ensure delivery of high-quality services in line with business procedures.
* Administer contracts as a Project Manager, Employer's Agent, or Contract Administrator (NEC/JCT).
* Lead meetings and manage outputs and tasks.
* Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business growth.
* Ensure all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet customer requirements.
* Advise directors on any issues that could impact project outcomes or professional indemnity (PI) insurance.
Work Schedule:
* 1 day working on-site at Aldermaston.
* 1-2 days in one of our offices (Southampton, London, Bristol, or Oxford).
* 1-2 days working from home.
Benefits:
* Flexible working arrangements.
* Opportunities for career development and growth.
* Contributory pension scheme.
* Industry-standard benefits, including healthcare and Cycle2work scheme.
* Employee Assistance Programme.
* Global Travel Scholarship Programme.
* Access to the Group Mentoring Programme
Location: UK, GB
