Senior Ecologist
Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
A prominent design and environmental firm specialising in Ecology, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Planning, Biodiversity Net Gain, Arboriculture, and GIS is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their Manchester team.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Ecologist:
Lead and oversee a diverse array of ecology projects, ensuring top-notch delivery.
Perform habitat and protected species surveys, act as the Ecological Clerk of Works, and generate technical reports.
Supervise subconsultants and provide mentorship to junior ecologists.
Foster strong client relationships and assist in business development efforts.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements for the Senior Ecologist:
Significant experience at the Consultant Ecologist level or currently in a Senior Ecologist role.
Full membership with CIEEM.
Possession of Protected Species Licences.
In-depth understanding of UK wildlife legislation, EIA, and planning processes.
Proven experience in project management, fieldwork, and report writing.
A valid UK driving licence.
